Description

Pharmacological Action: Ivermectin has a good anthelmintic effect on internal and external parasites, mainly internal nematodes and arthropods. The expulsion rates of Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Cooperia, Trichostrongylus (including Trichostrongylus aegilis), Roundworm, Yangkou, Nematodirus, Trichostrongylus, Oesophagostomum, Dictyocaulus, and adult and fourth stage larvae of Charbert in sheep are 97% ~ 100%. It is also very effective against arthropods, such as fly maggots, mites, and lice. It is slightly less effective against chewing lice and sheep tick flies. Ivermectin is also extremely effective against ticks as well as flies propagated in feces, and although the drug does not immediately cause tick death, it can affect feeding, molting, and oviposition, thereby reducing reproductive capacity. It has similar effects on blood flies. The expulsion rate of Ascaris lumbricoides, Strongyloides rubrum, Strongyloides lamblia, Trichostrongylus trichiura, Oesophagostomum, Metastrongylus, Crestocercus dentatus adults and immature parasites to pigs is 94% ~ 100% ,and is also extremely effective against Trichinella spiralis in the intestine (ineffective against Trichinella spiralis in the muscle), and also has a good control effect on blood lice and Sarcoptes scabiei in pigs. It is ineffective against trematodes and tapeworms.
